Ulrich Schwanecke's works are included in many public and private collections.  To express his experiences of dry and spacious landscape scenese he developed unique methods of handling watercolor.  Schwanecke has described his own technique as a marriage between control and happy abandon.  "He attempts to evoke a sense of desolation, but not despair.  His desert scenes are dry and lifeless, lonely but serene."  This is in essence an expression of Ulrich Schwanecke's positive outlook on life and his playful enjoyment of the creative process.  (1939-2006)
A valuable limited edition, 1986, three-piece watercolor rendering the Stratton Mountain by the noted artist Ulrich Schwanecke is now offered for the price of $300 prints / $450 mounted (plus shipping).
