MCCARTY GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES

We give priority to organizations with relatively modest financial resources where a grant in the range of $500 to $1,500 but no greater than $2,000 will have a significant impact on the community or communities served. The average grant is $1,000. Proposals must fit the general criteria for grants and have a direct impact upon at least one of the foundation’s priorities.

• Fire and Safety
• Health and Social Services
• Recreation and the Environment
• Education
• Community and the Arts

In each proposal, we look for evidence of

• well developed plans
• strong support (staff, volunteers, financial) from the organization itself
• a resourceful approach to increasing interest and financial support from the community served by the project and the organization
• committed and skilled leadership
